Pennsylvania Home Care Employment Requirements
In accordance with Pennsylvania state regulations, all home care employees must meet specific requirements, including:
🔹 Background Checks & Clearances – Pennsylvania criminal background check, FBI fingerprinting (if required), and Child Abuse Clearance for those working with vulnerable individuals
🔹 Caregiver Training & Competency – Completion of a state-approved training program covering personal care, infection control, emergency procedures, and client rights
🔹 Health Screenings – Employees must undergo TB testing and meet health requirements as per Pennsylvania home care policies
🔹 CPR & First Aid Certification – Required for certain caregiver roles
